CAST
BenBen’s favorite memory of Columbus is leaving the hospital just after exiting the womb and thinking, “Are you ready Columbus?” From that moment on he has crawled, walked, bicycled, Rollerbladed, jump-roped, pogo sticked and driven around this fine city of ours. His dream is to have his name on a sign underneath Tony Stewart’s, and that’s what keeps him connected.
ChrissyTaken in fresh out of Purdue by the friendly folks at The Republic, Chrissy sent pigeon-messages to her relatives proclaiming that there truly is more than corn in Indiana. Three years and several exhausted pigeons later, her family – her entire immediate family – agreed and relocated to the area. Columbus connected the dots for this Midwestern gal, just as Kevin Bacon connects us all.
DarinDarin was born, polished, fashioned and raised in this fine city. Blooming into the graphic designer he is, he contemplated moving north, but after a few hours of sleep and a hamburger, his destiny was clear - to stay in the Athens of the Midwest. Darin stays connected to the community by displaying his passion for all things Columbus, which flows like the mighty White River.
BrittanyBrittany, who came from Muncie to write for the daily newspaper in Columbus, had a high school journalism teacher who came from Columbus to write for the daily newspaper in Muncie. Through a series of fortunate events, the Columbus connection came full circle, and now Brittany is staying connected to Columbus, as she was long before she moved here.
ChrisChris, a procrastinator, submitted his personal profile last and was told to keep it short because the rest of the Connect cast was long-winded. Chris wasn’t born here, sent no carrier pigeons around the city and never had a journalism teacher from Columbus. However, through perseverance and sarcasm, he’s developed a comfortable connection with the city after living here five years.
